INSTRUCTIONS: AWARDING BODY REGISTRATION

PURPOSE
To register with the DIR as an Awarding Body. An awarding body can be an agency of the State, county, city, school or special district awarding a contract for a public works project. Entities must register as an Awarding Body in order to submit the Public Works Project Registration (PWC-100). Once the DLSE approves the “Awarding Body’s” application, a link will be sent to the contact name of the said Awarding Body to register public works projects. The awarding body is responsible for completing the registration process with the State of California Department of Industrial Relations (“DIR”).
INSTRUCTIONS
Noted below are the instructions required to register as an “Awarding Body.”
- Use the link below to start the registration process.
- If you have already set up a login with the DIR, please enter your Username and Password (continue to Step 3 after).
- If you need to create a login, select “First Time User” at the bottom of the Sign In Window. https://www.dir.ca.gov/pwc100ext/LoginPage.aspx
- A new page will load and you will be prompted to create an account.
- E-mail Address
The e-mail you provide will be your username for future logins.
Retype your e-mail for verification.
- Password
Make note of the password you select for future logins.
Retype your password for verification.
- Secret Question
Make note of the secret question and response.
- EDI
Select whether or not you will be using Electronic Data Interchange (computer-to-computer exchange of business documents between companies).

Name of person managing your account.

Type the code provided as it appears on the screen.
- Select the “Next” button once all fields have been entered
- E-mail Address
- On the next screen, you will be prompted to search for an “Awarding Body”
- Type in your Agency’s name and select “Search” to verify that your entity isn’t already registered.
- The screen will refresh once the search is complete and the page pictured below will load.
- Select “Create New Awarding Body”
- Click on “Next”
- Create “Awarding Body” by entering in all of the information in the fields provided.
- Name of Entity.
Type in the name of the Awarding Body exactly as it appears on contracts. - E-mail Address.
Type in the e-mail address you would like to use for correspondence with this Awarding Body. - Main Address
Type the address of the Awarding Body exactly as it appears on contracts.
Type in address in “Line 1” and (if needed) “Line 2”City
State (select “CA”)

- Name of Entity.
- Review the Awarding Body Application
- Verify that all the information entered is complete and correct.
- Once your review is complete, select “Submit” at the bottom of the page.
- Once the DLSE approves the “Awarding Body’s” application, a link will be e-mailed to the contact name of the said Awarding Body to register public works projects.
