Murow|CM Team Runs RAGNAR Relay SoCal 2017

The Murow|CM Team ran from Huntington Beach to San Diego on April 7-8, 2017 in the Reebok RAGNAR Relay SoCal!   The RAGNAR Relay SoCal is where the best Southern California road trip ever, meets the ultimate running challenge.  Here is how it worked, starting in Huntington Beach, teams of six ran relay-style along bike paths, coastal trails and boardwalks down the coastline of Southern California. Once the sun went down, our runners kept running!  On Saturday, runners passed through famous beach towns Encinitas, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, La Jolla and Mission Beach. From beach exchange to beach exchange, naturally, Reebok Ragnar So Cal ends… on the beach. Teams cross under the big orange Ragnar arch together at Silver Strand State Beach in San Diego.

Our runners represented multiple departments, from our Senior Executive Team, including Mr. Steve Murow himself, to our Cost Estimating, Dry Utilities, and Office Management staff!  Murow|CM takes our dedication to encouraging healthy lifestyles and a healthy office environment very seriously, in 2016 Murow|CM was named one of the Best Places to Work in Orange County!  Prior to race day, the runners trained together, ate well in the office, and encouraged team building both in and out of the office!

Bryon Barker, Director of Cost Estimates at Murow|CM comments, “Teamwork is such an essential part of the RAGNAR experience, and I couldn’t have been a part of a better team.  I am so proud and thankful that Murow|CM creates this culture of comradery both in the office and running hundreds of miles down the coast” Barker states, “We already cannot wait to come back next year!”.

The Murow|CM Team cannot wait for next year’s race, and will continue to train together for the next big event that the team decides to pursue!
